My solar lights are not working?

Modified on Fri, 23 Sep, 2022 at 10:21 AM

During Autumn, Winter, and Spring, solar energy levels to power the lights are far lower than in the Summer. This means you will see a drop in the performance of your lights as they will consume more power than is provided by the sun. As the lights will have lower battery levels any solar energy stored on that day will be used very quickly, at dusk the light will only stay on for a short amount of time and may even off before you see the light working at all. The lights will not get a chance to build sufficient battery storage to sustain working for longer periods for you to see your lights functioning.

It is easily resolved by performing a boost charge, we strongly advise they are placed in the off position with good direct access to sunlight for a period of 5 days. This should provide enough solar energy to each light for them to fully recharge and maintain good levels of charge for a longer period and improving the performance.

Over Autumn/Winter/Spring periods it will be necessary at times to repeat this process as solar energy levels are much lower at this time of year.

If you have performed this boost charge and there are still issues with your lights please contact us
